Brenda McEwing (Good Eagle Woman)
Chief Executive Officer

Daughter of Maxwell Noel (WWII Combat Veteran and POW) and Alice Edith Smoke. Full blood Dakota Sioux from the Dakota Tipi Tribe in Canada. Retired as Sergeant First Class after 23 years Reserves & National Guard, and Active Army in the Communications field as a Supervisor/Instructor and Platoon Sergeant. Served two combat tours; Desert Storm 1990-1991; Operation Iraqi Freedom 2005-2007. Traveled several duty stations throughout the United States and overseas locations. Received various service medals and Commendations for service and duty.
Served 15 years in Law Enforcement while in Reserves and Army National Guard. Retired from the military and Law Enforcement after recent last tour of active duty in Iraq.
Currently working as Law Office Manager in Florida and Georgia. Married to my best friend and greatest supporter in all my endeavors and journey’s, and proud parent of two successful daughters.
In June 2014, started "First Nations Women Warriors" with a group of amazing women. The goal and venture is to help inspire our fellow Native Women Veterans through mentoring & teaching that success will come with determination, perseverance and hard work. And ultimately build a home for a disabled Veteran who has given the ultimate sacrifice to our beautiful Country.

 
 

Shenandoah D. Ellis-Ulmer (Scarlet Sunrise Woman)
Director of Operations

Master Sergeant Shenandoah D. Ellis-Ulmer is the Superintendent, Program Development and Research Division, Personnel Recovery Academy, Joint Personnel Recovery Agency. As the Superintendent she manages the production of personnel recovery operational support and training products; including Isolated Personnel Guidance, SERE (survival, evasion, resistance and escape) debrief analysis products, SERE training reference products, Intelligence and Personnel Recovery (PR) mission briefings and finally she provides mission guidance to teams of Department of Defense contractors. Sergeant Ellis-Ulmer was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, on 1 June 1974 and raised in Breckenridge, Minnesota. She entered the Air Force in 1994 and has served twenty years at eight different intelligence assignments. She has supported combat coalition operations throughout the Middle East to include Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates. Sergeant Ellis-Ulmer has received her Community College of the Air Force Degree in Communication Applications Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from Friend’s University, Wichita, Kansas and a Masters in Human Resource Development from Villanova University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Additionally, Master Sergeant Ellis-Ulmer is the Director of Operations for First Nations Women Warriors as well as a parent volunteer for the Mead School District. She has been awarded the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster as well as the Air Force Achievement Medal with three oak leaf clusters. Master Sergeant Ellis-Ulmer is a member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Dakota Oyate as well as Santee Sioux. Her Dakota name is Wi’ihinapidutawin (Scarlet Sunrise Woman).

 
 

Julia Kelly (Outstanding Leader)
Business Supervisor

Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Julia Kelly is a native of Pryor, Montana. She entered the Army in 1981 and completed Advance Individual Training at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama as an 89B (Ammunition Specialist). She retired October 2010 with 28 years of service.
She is currently pursuing education towards non-profit human resources and completing her business degree. She volunteers her time with many veteran organizations. She is a life time member of the Ordnance Corp Organization, Disabled American Veterans, The Society of the 1st Infantry Division, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. She is the Business Supervisor for First Nations Women Warriors, a 501(c)(3) non-profit veterans organization. She was given her Apssaalooke name Baassaannee Xisssaa (Outstanding Leader)

Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Kelly has served in various ammunition, leadership, and special assignments throughout her career. Her assignments include: Ammunition Specialist, 34th Support Battalion, Ft Hood, TX; Ammunition Specialist and Ammunition Supply NCO, 193rd Support Battalion, Ft Clayton, Panama; Drill Sergeant, 832nd Ordnance Battalion, Redstone Arsenal, AL; Training Ammo NCOIC and Ammunition Inspector, DISCOM, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea; BNCOC, ANCOC, OBC, and Warrant Officer Instructor/Writer, Redstone Arsenal, AL; First Sergeant, 65th Ordnance Company, 6th Ordnance Battalion, Camp Page, Korea; Division Ammunition Office NCOIC, DISCOM, 3rd Infantry Division, Ft Stewart, GA; First Sergeant, 72nd Ordnance Company, 6th Ordnance Battalion, Camp Hialeah, Korea; Operations NCO, 125th Ordnance Battalion (AC/RC), Billings, Montana; Munitions Training Department Sergeant Major, 59th Ordnance Brigade, Redstone Arsenal, AL; Munitions Division Sergeant Major, 19th Support Center, 3rd COSCOM, Wiesbaden, Germany. She was the Command Sergeant Major for the 125th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division and the Command Sergeant Major for the 299th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Ft Riley Kansas.
She has two combat tours to Iraq: 05-06, 08-09.
Her award and decorations include: Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, MSMs, ARCOMs, AAMs, Korea Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism, and the Iraqi Campaign Medal. She has been inducted into the coveted Ordnance “Order of the Samuel Sharpe”. She received the prestigious General Brehon B Somervell Medal of Excellence for multifunctional support.
Her military and civilian education includes: Equal Opportunity Course, Ammunition Inspector Course, Drill Sergeant Course, PLDC, BNCOC, ANCOC, and Sergeants Major Academy, Class 52.
